What is International Pairs?
International Pairs is one of the world’s most established amateur golf competitions, founded in England in 1998 and now hosted across more than 30 countries globally. Each year, amateur golfers from around the world earn the opportunity to represent their country at the prestigious International Pairs World Final.
Why Are There No National Events in 2026?
International Pairs South Africa can only run events with a headline sponsor or partner, as there are no headline in place for the 2026 the International Pairs SA has adopted a streamlined format focused solely on selecting one team to represent the country at the International Pairs World Final in Europe. This strategic decision allows us to offer a direct pathway to the global stage while planning the future evolution of the competition locally.
Will the traditional qualifying events return in the future?
International Pairs remains committed to the South African golf community. The structure for future seasons is currently under review, with the goal of delivering a strong and sustainable national platform moving forward. Updates regarding future event formats will be announced in due course.
How does International Pairs South Africa work in 2026?
In 2026, International Pairs South Africa will not host a national qualifying tournament season. Instead, one South African pair will be selected to represent the country at the International Pairs World Final in Europe via the Official South Africa World Final Draw.
Is this a raffle or a competition?
This is a paid promotional competition conducted via an official draw. Participants purchase entries into the draw, and one winner is selected by random electronic draw in accordance with the published Terms & Conditions.
Who can enter the draw?
The draw is open to South African residents aged 16 years or older and must have an official HNA Handicap. Entrants under the age of 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian. Full eligibility requirements are outlined in the Terms & Conditions.
Do I need an official handicap to enter?
Winners participating at the World Final must have an official handicap registered on HNA.
What does the prize include?
The prize includes:

Two (2) player spots at the International Pairs World Final in Europe

Return economy-class flights for two players

Four (4) nights’ accommodation at a 4–5 star hotel (shared basis)

Two official tournament rounds

Access to official functions and events

What is not included in the prize?

Can I choose my playing partner?
Yes. The winner of the draw will nominate one playing partner, provided the nominated partner meets the eligibility requirements.
How are entries allocated?
Entries are allocated based on the selected entry package at the time of purchase. Enhanced entry allocations are available during the Early Bird period. Full entry allocations are clearly displayed on the website and detailed in the Terms & Conditions.
What happens if I buy entries during the Early Bird period?
Entries purchased during the Early Bird period receive 1-2 enhanced entry allocations at no additional cost. All Early Bird entries remain valid after the Early Bird period ends.
When does the competition close?
Entries close at 23:59 on 29 June 2026, unless sold out earlier.
When is the winner drawn?
The winner will be selected by random electronic draw on 1 July 2026 and contacted within 48 hours of the draw.
What happens if the winner cannot travel?
If the winner or their nominated partner is unable to travel on the specified dates, the prize may be forfeited and a redraw may be conducted in accordance with the Terms & Conditions.
Is the prize transferable or redeemable for cash?
No. The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
What happens if the World Final is postponed or cancelled?
If the World Final is postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right to postpone the prize or substitute it with a comparable experience of similar value.
